No. It is one payment, and it never renews. It includes Premium for a set time: 3 months for First Mate, 12 months for Captain and 2 years for Commodore, who also gets five one-year passes to give.
Your founding badge (your rank’s role in the Founding Crew community), your founding number and your place in the community are permanent. Premium is included for a set time by rank, and it ends without charging you again.
Premium is the paid plan in the Pathr app: automatic route planning, radar, AIS, trip history and more. A founding rank includes Premium for a set time and adds what Premium does not: a permanent badge and founding number, the private community and behind-the-scenes updates, and from Captain up, early access to Co-Captain and a vote on the roadmap.
Co-Captain is the AI co-pilot we are building into Pathr. It is in development and not available yet. Captains and Commodores get early access when it ships.

No, and we are not going to invent one. What changes is your number: founding numbers are issued in the order people come aboard and are never reissued.
Your permanent place in line. Member #7 and member #700 at the same rank get the same perks, but the number is yours for good. It is issued in join order when your purchase is recorded, and it is never reassigned.
